Split a PDF into separate files
or drop files here
PDF files only
Split PDF breaks one PDF into several smaller files. Choose By range to set your own page ranges, such as 1–5 and 6–10, or Every N pages to cut the document at a fixed interval; set N to 1 and every page becomes its own PDF. It's useful for long scans that hold several documents, textbooks split into chapters, or files that are too large to send in one piece. The splitting happens in your browser with PDFEdit, so the PDF never leaves your device. It's free, with no sign-up and no watermark. If you want a few selected pages saved together in one new file, use Extract pages instead.

FAQ
How do I split a PDF into multiple files?
Add your PDF, choose By range or Every N pages, click Split PDF and download the results. Each range, or each group of N pages, becomes a separate PDF.
How do I save every page as its own PDF?
Choose Every N pages and set N to 1. You get one PDF per page, which you can download one by one or together as a ZIP file.
What's the difference between Split and Extract pages?
Split always produces several files. Extract pages gives you one new PDF containing only the pages you pick.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. Splitting runs in your browser, and the file is not sent to PDFEdit's servers.
Does splitting change my original file?
No. You download new files. The original PDF on your device stays as it was.
