Privacy Policy
This page explains what happens to your files and what information, if any, is collected when you use PDFEdit (https://pdfedit.dev).
Last updated: 13 October 2026
1. Your files are processed in your browser
Every tool on PDFEdit runs inside your web browser. When you add a file, it is read and processed on your device by code running in the page. Your files and their contents are not uploaded to our servers or sent to any third party. The results you download are created on your device too.
This also applies to what you type into the tools: passwords you enter in Protect PDF or Unlock PDF, signatures you draw, type or upload in Sign PDF, and text you add in Edit PDF stay in your browser. A signature you create is cleared when you close the tab.
Files you add are held in your browser's memory only while the page is open. We don't store them, and closing the tab releases them. Files you download are saved to your device like any other download and are under your control.
You can verify this yourself; see How we never upload your files.
2. No account
PDFEdit has no accounts or sign-up. We don't ask for your name or email address to use the tools.
3. What our website does receive
To show you a page, your browser has to request it from our servers. Like any website, our hosting provider (Vercel) receives standard technical information with each request, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. This is used to deliver the site and keep it secure. These requests contain page code and images, never the files you process.
4. Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and understand which tools are used. It does not use cookies and does not collect the contents or names of your files. It records information such as the page visited, referring website, browser type, country and page-load performance. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
5. Cookies and local storage
PDFEdit does not set cookies or use local storage for tracking or advertising. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless. We don't show ads.
6. Children
PDFEdit is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
7. Changes to this policy
If we change how PDFEdit handles data — for example, if we add a tool that needs to process files on a server — we will update this page before that change goes live, and such a tool will be clearly labeled on its own page.
