Crop a PDF

On your device

PDF files only

Crop PDF trims the margins on every page, so the content fills the screen or the printout. Scans often come with wide borders, and slides can carry more white space than a phone screen needs. Use four sliders to set how much to trim from the top, right, bottom and left (0–45% each, 10% by default); the same crop applies to every page. Cropping changes the visible area only: content outside the crop box is still in the file, so don't use it to hide sensitive information. PDFEdit crops in your browser, so nothing is uploaded. Free, no sign-up, no watermark.

FAQ

Can I crop just some of the pages?

No. The crop is applied to every page. To crop one page differently, extract it first, crop it, and merge it back.

What's the difference between cropping and resizing?

Cropping changes which part of the page is shown. Resizing changes the page's paper size, for example to A4 or US Letter.

Can I use cropping to hide sensitive information?

No. Content outside the crop area is still in the file and can be recovered.

Does cropping make the file smaller?

Not usually, because the hidden content stays in the file. To reduce size, use Compress PDF.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Cropping runs in your browser.
